ST TERESA OF AVILA – ‘You pay God a compliment by asking great things of Him.’

HUGH LAVERY – The climax of Holy Week is not dying nor even a resuscitation. It is a new creation, a man burnt by the scars of human butchery, yet beyond mortality. Christ rehearsed this experience. His life was a series on dyings, to childhood in the temple, to exemption in the wilderness, to human timidity in Gethsemane. Dying and rising are as inseparable as convex and concave. Life is always an undulation, rise and fall, decay and renovation. This is the cadence of the holy and this is the music of holy week.’

QUIZ –‘Anyone who can guess how many ducks I have in the sack can have them both said Murphy. ‘Three,’ said Flanagan. ‘That’s near enough,’ said Murphy

CONGRATULATIONS – to Jim and Ann Ratchford who are celebrating their
Diamond Wedding Anniversary – all joys and blessings
