Do not regret getting older, it is a privilege denied to many.

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – we will leave a book of remembrance in the sanctuary for us to enter the names of our deceased relatives, friends and parishioners. We will pray for them each day at Mass during November.

OOPS – remember the story of the world record holder for giving birth(at that time) Kate Rimmer, who became a mother at 66. ‘Unbelievable,’ said the press reporter who’d come to cover the story. ‘Can we have a look at the little one?’
‘Well,’ said Kate, ‘You’ll have to wait till he cries – because I can’t remember where I put him down!!’

A SOGGY WEEK – better than having a drought. Mentioning that at the weekend Masses we can accommodate four single people on a bench – obviously families and couples can sit together. Hope no one minds if the steward asks us to move up to fit someone else in the bench. Everyone has been really helpful and understanding.

J O’D – ‘A courageous heart will go forth and engage with life despite confusion and fear. A fearful heart will be hesitant and hold back. A heavy heart will make for a gloomy, unlived life. But, a compassionate heart need never carry the burden of judgement. A forgiving heart knows the art of liberation. A loving heart awakens the spirit to possibilty and engagement with others.’

EVELYN UNDERHILL – ‘It is those who have a deep and real inner life who are best able to deal with the irritating details of outer life.’

AND ‘The spiritual life is simply a life in which all we do comes from the centre, where we are anchored in God: a life soaked through and through by a sense of His reality and claim, and self-given to the great movement of His will.’

KEEP WELL AND STAY SAFE AND BE GOOD!
