CONFESSIONS – Saturday after 10am Mass and at 5.55pm.

APOLOGIES – no refreshments today after Mass – people at the Cenotaph.

FOOD BANK – once again, a big thank you for all the food left in the porch – taken to the Food Bank on Thursday for distribution and so gratefully received.

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE – during the month of November, the Book of Remembrance will be in the sanctuary for us to write in the names of our deceased family members, relations, friends and parishioners. They will be prayed for at Mass each day during November.

AUTUMN QUIZ – Jenny has offered to set a Quiz on Wednesday 20th November – Brexit and Election free! Do add your name to the list in the porch – past occasions have been great fun – refreshments and bring own drink.

AN EVENING OF FOLK n’ FUN – ‘The Bewildered‘ with John Henshaw and other entertainers on Friday 22nd November, at St Edward’s , Lees, Church Hall, at 7.30pm. Proceeds to purchase a Carbon Base Plate for the Christie @ Oldham – see poster in the porch.

QIGONG CLASS – on Thursday at 7.15 till 8.15pm – all welcome

ST DAMIAN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY – will be held on Thursday 12th December, 11.30am – 1.30pm. Will leave a list out next week.

GYPSY – during November we will collect the money for Gypsy – which we go to see at the Royal Exchange Theatre on 10th December – tickets including transport £45.

PIETY STALL – an abundance of Christmas cards and gifts available

ST JOSEPH’S 2020 NURSERY INTAKE – if your child is 3 before 31st December 2019 it could be eligible. Do contact Mrs Hirst at the School Office

MENTIONING – Jesus’ name in Aramaic is ‘Yeshua’, an abbreviation of ‘Yehoshu’a; it implies wholeness; to be at ease.

DUCK’S DELIGHT – never seen a sad duck ‘ bring on the rain they say.’ But, we did have our fill on Thursday.

Today Eddie will lay a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of St Joseph’s parishioners.
