CONFESSIONS – Saturday after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm

TEA AND COFFEE – in the parish room after Mass – access through sacristy.

FOOD BANK – Many thanks for the food left in the porch – taken to Mossley Food Bank on Thursday and gratefully received – all single items welcome.

PARISH LUNCH – is on Wednesday 9th October. All welcome – list in porch

QIGONG – class on Thursday at 7.15 till 8.15pm

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION – parents and children are invited to register on Sunday 20th October at 9.30am in the parish room.

MEDITATION – will take place on the four Mondays in October.

HEALING SERVICE – this Sunday at 4pm. Following the same format at before, the four elements are: praise, petition, anointing, thanksgiving.

MENTIONING A CHANGE –to our weekend Masses when the clocks go back at the end of October. Saturday Evening Mass will be at 6.15pm and Sunday Morning Mass will be at 10.15am. A slight change, but hopefully, a helpful one.

MARIAN PROCESSION – Saturday 12th October at 10.30am – leaving Xavarian College, Thurloe Street and walking to Platt Fields Park.

WOODLAND TRUST – are looking for a million people to plant a tree on 30th November – Big Climate Fightback.

ST FRANCIS DE SALLES – ‘Work done with too much eagerness and hurry is never well done…..Drones make more noise and fuss than bees, but they make only wax and no honey’.

SO VAST – we do not know how large the universe is. Astronomers estimate that it contains 100 billion galaxies – each tens of thousands of light years across, and each with an average of 100 billion stars!

OPEN DAY – at St Joseph’s, School, for propective nursery and reception children September 2020, on Monday 21st October -2 till 3pm; 5 till 7pm

OCTOBER JOYS –chestnuts are ready for roasting, walnuts for pickling, and sloes ready to be steeped in gin! Alas, a soggy end to this month. One lady said that she had spent the week planting daffodil bulbs for the Spring .
