WHOLE DAY OFF THE TREADMILL – hope that all can chill out this weekend and enjoy a stress-free Monday! The weather hasn’t been in a festive mood this past week, weeping skies and a ‘Wuthering Heights’ sort of feel. It is sure to brighten up when the children return to school in a week’s time. Expect that this weekend parishioners will be decanting to their country estates, yachts, chateaux and house-boats, tents and wig-wams!
TAMESIDE HERITAGE OPEN DAYS – 8th to 11th September. Lots of churches will be open all day, and there are walks, talks and other activities. See the brochure on the notice board for more information.
A MOTHER’S PRAYER – ‘ May your life be full of Jesus and his love; may you be God-driven by the Father and the Spirit; and may you be His hands and smile and be His arms of comfort. And may you always be His blessing to the World’.
A LANCASTER GRACE – Give us, Lord, a bit o’sun, a bit o’work and a bit o’ fun, Give us all in the struggle and splutter our daily bread and a bit o’ butter.
We thank you for the bounty of this table.
As we accept this food with humility and love,
Help us to be accepting of others. Amen.
ROOM AT THE INN – there are over 100 billion galaxies, each comprising of billions of stars, and know one knows how many moons and planets.
