DONATION FROM THE MAYOR – many thanks for a donation of £45 from the Mayor’s fund raising for £45 given to provide food for the needy in the local area.

AMBER ALERT – one newspaper has predicted heavy falls of snow in November – clearly someone has been reading the tea leaves! The chances are that we will be sloshing around in the wet stuff this weekend. ML can report that for the papal audience on Wednesday the huge crowds were mopping their brows and wilting under a blazing sun. However, we have a green and pleasant land. St Joseph’s was singularly blessed last week when it received another brown wheelie bin; this time they sent us a large one- which will delight Yvonne and John who have waited over a year for it to arrive. We will certainly ask the bishop to come and bless it! The new heaters for the porch will definitely be fitted this week and apologies for the delay

JOHN BURNSIDE – love is something learned like dancing.
