MISSIO RED BOXES – It has been put forward, that we should do the ‘collections’ twice a year. Therefore, if there are no objections, as from 2019 we will collect June and November each year. You are still welcome to leave your box at the back of church if you wish it to be emptied more often. Thank you, Sue.

FEASTS THIS WEK – Mon- St Lazarus, Wed- St Anastasius, Thurs- St Eugene, Fri- St Peter Canisius, Sat- St Flavianus.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Friday at 9 till 10am
CONFESSIONS – Saturday after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm
TEA AND COFFEE – after Mass in the parish room – access through sacristy.
MOSSLEY FOOD BANK – many thanks for the extra food left in the porch – taken to the Food Bank on Thursday. They have mentioned that Christmas items would be especially welcome, but are so grateful for every donation.
HOLY EXERCISES – the church was lit up on Thursday evening by the haloes of parishioners doing Qi Gong. All were agreed that it was the perfect venue – participants were discouraged from levitating – next session Thursday at 7.15-8.15.

ADVENT SERVICE OF RECONCILIATION – takes place this Sunday at 3pm – hoping that snow has melted! This twice yearly service is welcomed and valued.
SCHOOL – closes on Thursday at 2pm. The children are attending Mass on Monday. PIETY STALL – cards, calendars, gifts.
SCHOOL CAROL CONCERT – takes place in church on Tuesday at 6.30pm
LES MISERABLES – 11th March, 2019 – have paid for the tickets and will collect the money towards the end of February – circa £50 inc travel
THE KING AND I – is on at the Opera House 26th April till 11th May – winner of 4 Tony awards – ‘I doubt I’ll ever see a better production in my lifetime’- Wall Street Journal. The greatest musical from the golden age of musicals. We have left a list in the porch – add ‘S’ for stalls.
OUR TREE – is now in situ – our gratitide to our mystery tree provider and his assistants for decorating it. The pink candle on the Advent wreath is lit this Sunday – known as Gaudete Sunday – we rejoice that the Lord’s coming is near and that we are loved unconditionally by him. Pope Francis says that we should think of all the good things that life has given – not be fussing about all the things we have to do.
