REQUIEM MASS – for Raymond Nolan is on Monday at 10am

MASS TIMES THIS WEEK – 10am each day – except Wednesday – 12 noon.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Friday at 9 till 10am
CONFESSIONS – Saturday after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm.
TEA AND COFFEE – in the parish room after Mass – access through sacristy.
WELCOME – we welcome members of the Ashton Catenian Circle today who have come to pray for their deceased members.
CHILL OUT TIME – The first weekly Qi Gong session will take place in the parish room on Thursday 6th December at 7.15 till 8.15pm with Dr David Bailey. David has been practising and teaching Qi Gong and Tai Chi since 1997 and is a registered Qi Gong instructor with the British Health Qigong Association. The cost of the session will be £5. The cost has been set to reflect local prices, as sessions in Manchester with someone of Dr David’s experience and knowledge can cost up to £35. We hope that the health of our parishioners will benefit from these weekly sessions of exercise and relaxation.
PARISH LUNCH – CHRISTMAS BUFFET – takes place this Wednesday after 12 noon Mass. It promises to be a great treat.
ST DAMIAN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY – is on Thursday 13th December – 11.30 till 2.30pm – list is in the porch and transport is provided if required.
NOVEMBER BOOK FOR THE DECEASED – remains in the sanctuary until the end of the month for us to enter the names of our deceased relations, friends and parishioners, who will be prayed for during our daily Masses.
CHRISTMAS CARDS, CALENDARS, GIFTS – on the Piety Stall.
MUSIC FESTIVAL – at St Patrick’s, Oldham, on Saturday at 7.30pm
ADVENT – begins next weekend; thankfully, the shops haven’t heard of it!
DARK SO EARLY – these days and the cold gave us a poke in the ribs this past week. We give thanks for a warm home and bed when so many shiver under the stars.
J’O D -the heart is the tabernacle of divine beauty.
REV R HAWKER -invented the harvest festival but he also excommunicated a cat for mousing on Sundays!
