MISS SAIGON – we go to see Miss Saigon on Tuesday 24th April – tickets can be paid for this month – £55 including transport.
PARISH LUNCH – was, as always, a happy occasion; we were treated to excellent Lancashire cuisine prepared by our devoted and saintly chefs!!!!. Despite it being the season of Lent, we had ‘Stand-up Bingo and an abundance of raffle prizes.
FAITH IN THE FUTURE PARISH TEAM – at our meeting on Wednesday we wondered if some parishions might be interested in helping with pastoral visits when the need arises – eg taking flowers to a sick person, an occasional visit to the house-bound. It is an area of parish life that has been a little neglected. More later.
HOW LOVELY – to hear the bird song early in the morning – unless it means that you have to leap out of bed! So many parishioners have to be on their way to work
between 5 and 6 in the morning. But, the light evenings will be a joy.
MASS OF CHRISM – on Wednesday 28th March, at 11am – we have four tickets for anyone who would like to attend.
OUR NEXT OUTING – will, hopefully, be in May. Thought it might be nice to visist the shrine of Our Lady at Ladywell, Fernyhalgh, and then go to to Lytham for some sea air and fish and chips. Promenading past the windmill is very pleasant.
NEW READERS AND EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS – briefing and practice session after Mass next Sunday
