CONFESSIONS – Saturday after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm
TODAY – we welcome Fr Jan Klaver, who comes to encourage us to take up a Red Box and in doing so allow us to further the work of the missions and the spread of God’s Kingdom. / red boxes will be collected between 3rd & 24th March.
DEANERY STATION MASS – this Tuesday at 7.30pm we welcome the parishes of the deanery to St Joseph’s for our Lenten Station Mass. Fr Eamon Mulcahy will be preaching. After Mass there will be refreshmnents in the Conservative Club on Mountain Street. It should be a little warmer on Tuesday.
MEDITATION DURING LENT – on Mondays at 7.15 till 8.15 in the parish room. All welcome.
MISS SAIGON – tickets for Miss Saigon can be paid for this month – £55 including transport – 24th April at the Palace Theatre.
WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER – is now on Friday 14th March, at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church.
CAFOD FUND RAISING EVENT – at St Edward’s, Lees, on Friday 16th March. A concert by Tameside Community Voices – tickets £5 – bar available- please put names on sheet in porch for tickets.
PARISH LUNCH – our next parish lunch is on Wednesday 14th March – there is a list in the porch – all welcome.
THIS SUNDAY – Join Paul Nethercott on an 11 mile moderate walk linking Stamford, Cheetham and Stalybridge Country Parks – 10am Staley Way car park
NEXT HOPE IN THE FUTURE MEETING -Wednesday 14th March at 7pm
SCHOOL GOVERNORS MEETING – this Thursday at 5pm in school.
QUITE FEROCIOUS – weather this past week. Apologies that the church might not be so warm this weekend – the wind on Thursday and Friday has disabled a number of heaters. Hopefully, the bitter cold will soon be a distant memory
