ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fridays at 9 till 10am
CONFESSIONS – Saturdays after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm
TEA AND COFFEE – in the parish room after Mass- access through sacristy
SCHOOL GOVERNORS – we do have a vacancy for a School Governor at St Joseph’s. As mentioned, the commitment isn’t overly onerous timewise, and the appointment is made for a four year period. Do let us know if you are interested.
NEXT PARISH LUNCH – is on Wednesday 11th October. There is a list in the porch.
MEDITATION – during October we will have meditation on Monday evenings, 7.15-8.15pm in the parish room – keeping the tradition going and fitting it in before the bad weather arrives..
SUNSET BOULEVARD – any outstanding money can be paid this month or early next month – we go on Thursday 26th October to the Palace Theatre.
FR MICHAEL FLEMMING – has been quite poorly. We might keep him in our prayers.
DIOCESAN HOPE IN THE FUTURE – the bishop wants every parish to have a team of people to look into aspects of parish life and missionary endeavour – between eight and twelve people. Initially we are asked to have four meetings and each meeting is to last one hour only. We will leave a list out next Sunday and hopefully we will have a few volunteers – anyone attending St Joseph’s is eligible.

AUTUMN – has arrived and experts from the forestry Commission say soggy weather over the summer is likely to give way to a colourful and lengthy autumn. A crescendo of colour should arrive around the last two weeks of October. British Summer Time ends on 29th October..
THERE WE HAVE IT – – most popular names. Boys: Oliver, Harry, George, Jack, Jacob, Noah, Charlie, Muhammad, Thomas, Oscar. Girls: Olivia, Amelia, Emily, Isla, Ava, Isabella, Lily, Jessica, Ella, Mia.
PARISH MAGAZINE – do think of something you might submit to our next edition. PIETY STALL – lots of new items on sale.
COFFEE MORNING – tombola, raffle, bring and by in aid of the Presentation Mission in Zambia at the Presentation Convent 111 Audenshaw Road, on Saturday October 14th, 11am till 2pm. Everyone welcome.
MICHELANGELO – after he died a piece of paper was found in his studio- he had written ‘Draw, Antonio, draw, Antonio, draw and do not waste time.’
