ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fridays at 9 till 10am
CONFESSIONS – Saturdays after 10am Mass and at 6.10pm
FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS – take place today during 11.30am Mass. We pray for a blessing on the children and their families. And, a big thank you to our long serving catechists, Pauline and Teresa, who have prepared the children so well for their First Holy Communion.
A TINY CELEBRATION OF THANKSGIVING – this Monday at 7.30pm. This past week M Lavin celebrated his 50th Anniversary of Ordination (outwitted in keeping it a secret!) He now qualifies for a free burial. Anyone, not otherwise engaged, is more than welcome to attend a little celebration of thanksgiving – refreshments too! Immense gratitude for unwavering support and kindness.
GOD KNOWS HIS OWN – just to say that we had a lovely day out on Sunday in Chester. The sun shone most of the time and we were able to soak up the atmosphere of this lovely city. Some enjoyed a conducted tour, some sat by the river, most explored the cathedral and not a few visited the many hostelries and cafes that abound. We will, hopefully, have another outing during the summer.
GENERAL ELECTION HUSTING – on Wednesday at the Methodist Church – 7.30-9.30pm for the Stalybridge and Hyde MP.
MATILDA – THE MUSICAL (2018) – will remove the list from the porch this weekend in order to book the tickets.
OUR VISITS TO THE LOWRY THEATRE – 7th and the 14th June – tickets can be paid for this month – The Play is £29 and La Cage aux Folles is £41.
WHIT FRIDAY PROCESSION – Trevor has left some lists in the porch for the various volunteers required for the Whit Friday Procession.
STALYBRIDGE AND ABOVE – an 11 miles walk this Sunday with Paul Nethercott – 10am – 3.30pm – Staley Way car park, Huddersfield Road.
10k RUN FOR CHARITY – Ann Ratchford Running for Cafod – list in the porch.
NO TEA AND COFFEE TODAY – because of First Communions.
WELL DONE -to Mr and Mrs McPartland for walking the Camino de Santiago and presenting St Joseph’s with a scallop shell and a pilgrims staff.
