CLOCKS FORWARD – this weekend.

DEANERY STATION MASS – THIS TUESDAY – we welcome the bishop and the parishes of the deanery to the Lenten Station Mass here at St Joseph’s on Tuesday at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be served after Mass in the Conservative Club.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY – we salute all mothers today.


CONFESSIONS – Saturdays at 10.30am and 6.10pm – on the Tuesday of Holy Week we will have our Penance Service as usual at 7.30pm.

MEDITATION – on the Mondays of Lent at 7.30-8.30pm in the presbytery. All welcome.

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION – on the Wednesdays of Lent at 7.30-8.30pm in the presbytery. All welcome – ‘Walking through Lent with Pope Francis.’

STATIONS OF THE CROSS – on the Thursdays of Lent at 7pm.

PARISH LUNCH – our next parish lunch is on Wednesday 9th April . All welcome – the list is in the porch.

COFFEE AND TEA – after Mass in the parish room – access through sacristy.

100 MILE CYCLE RIDE – though on static bicycles- outside the Co-op on 6th April – proceeds to Forces’ Charities and the British Legion – the Mayor and two othes are taking part – sponsor forms in the porch.

FOOD PARCELS – many thanks – they have been passed on.

EASTER HOLIDAYS – the school closes on Friday for two weeks holiday.

JOSEPH – AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT -is on at the Palace for 6 days in October – 21-25. We have left a list in the porch to see what the take-up is – ‘it is utterly irresistible, go, go, go, jo’- Mail on Sunday

HALF WAY THROUGH LENT ! – we encourage one another to ‘keep on keeping on’ and to show that Josephian spirit. Quotes: No gift to your mother can ever equal her gift to you. An ounce of mother is worth a ton of priest!
