MEMORIAL SERVICE – for Sandra Fannon who died in Adelaide, Australia, will be held this coming Thursday at 7.30pm.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME – takes place today for the parents and children involved in First Communion and Confirmation at 9.15am

MASS TIMES THIS WEEK – 10am each day.

FEASTS THIS WEEK – Mon- St Kentigern & St Hilary; Wed- St Ita; Thurs- St Fursa; Fri- St Anthony, abbot; Sat- St Prisca.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fridays at 9-10am – just a lovely, lovely hour.

CONFESSIONS – Saturdays at 10.30am and 6.10pm

PARISH LUNCH – our next parish lunch will be on Wednesday 12th February. We will leave a list out shortly.

QUIZ NIGHT – will take place on Wednesday 29th January in the parish room- refreshments and bring your own bottle. Any proceeds will be given to the children’s hospice. Do sign the list in the porch. Should be a good night.

OFFERTORY ENVELOPES – many thanks for taking the offertory envelopes. If you would like an envelope and haven’t presently got one, just take one of the spare ones and write your name and the number of the envelope on the sheet of paper. There are some gift-aid forms available if you would like to gift-aid the offertory contribution.

CHURCH UNITY SERVICE – our local Unity Service will take place at All Saints on Monday 20th January at 7.30pm. The octave of Prayer for Christian Unity begins on Saturday.

PARISH MAGAZINE – articles to thejosephian@aol.com. We haven’t had an article yet from anyone who worked in one of the mills in Mossley – would be really interesting. What were the winters like in Mossley in days gone by?

COMING HOME – a lady in East Lancashire has been renovating the statue of St Joseph that is usually carried in procession on Whit Friday- last year St Anthony took his place! Should be in place before long. Our gratitude to Connie who wouldn’t take anything for her labours.

OUCH – what do you call an Arab dairy farmer? A milk Sheik! (I.O)

FOOD PARCELS – many thanks – have been distributed.

STILL SINGING IN THE RAIN – the weather is keeping us on our toes…….!
