CHRISTMAS CONCERT AND CAROL SINGING – on Friday at 6.30pm- with the Brass Band from Stalyhill Junior School, St Stephen’s Primary School, St Raphael’s Primary School. In aid of Christie’s Hospital and the children who have lost parents through cancer. See poster in the porch.

ST JOSEPH’S SCHOOL CAROL CONCERT – will take place on Tuesday 17th December at 7pm.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fridays at 9-10

CONFESSIONS – Saturdays at 10.30am and 6.10pm

ADVENT SERVICE – on the Wednesdays of Advent at 7.15-8pm – a quiet reflective time just to be still before the Lord and to welcome his coming.

ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE – on Wednesday 18th December at 7.30pm

CHRISTMAS FAIR TAKES PLACE THIS WEEKEND – AFTER 6.30 MASS AND AFTER 10am MASS – in the sacristy and the parish room. Cake stall, chocolate tombola, lucky-dip, bottle stall, raffle. Many thanks for all the gifts and items received; everyone has been really kind.. It will be interesting to see how it goes!

PARISH CHRISTMAS LUNCH – is on Wednesday after 12 noon Mass. All welcome. The list should still be in the porch.

ST DAMIAN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY – on Tuesday – transport will arrive at church at 11.10am and return at 2.30pm

WEST SIDE STORY – Tuesday 17th December at the Palace Theatre. We have a spare ticket if anyone is interested.

CHRISTMAS CARDS AND CALENDARS – lots on the piety stall.

HELL HATH NO FURY – like Thursday morning’s storm – we were well baptised – just unfortunate that it coincided with a burial! The front doors of the church were almost heading for Whitby, but have now been secured.

CONGRATULATIONS – to Kathleen Hall and John Fahey, both ninety.
