APPEAL TODAY – SURVIVE- MIVA – a UK-based lay Association funding transport for the church’s health and pastoral work in remote and under-developed parts of the world. Last year it supplied 14 community health outreach vehicles; 23 motorbikes; 2 boats and outboard motors; 262 bicyles.

There will be a retiring collection.

MASS TIMES THIS WEEK – 10am – except Wednesday – 8.45am-( Funeral elsewhere at 10am).

CONFESSIONS – Saturdays at 10.30am and 6.10pm

MOSSLEY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS – switch-on at 7pm on Thursday 28th November at the George Lawton Hall – Santa is in his Grotto – £1.50 inc gifts.

ST DAMIAN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY – 10th Dec – list is in the porch

ST DAMIAN’S – are happy to receive Christmas Presents for children from disadvantaged families- part of a wider initiative.

PARISH CHRISTMAS LUNCH – will take place after 12 noon Mass on Wednesday 11th December. All welcome. The list is in the porch.

TEA AND COFFEE – in the parish room after Mass – access through sacristy.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME – children present at Mass today.

MAYOR’S CHARITY DINNER – this Wednesday at the Old Original – tickets from Dean and Joanne – £12.50 (3 courses) 01457 834589

FOOD PARCELS – many thanks – they have been passed on.

PIETY STALL – an abundance of christmas cards and calendars.

PARISH MAGAZINE – articles to [email protected] – the ideal time of the year for writing an article, a reminiscence, a tribute, a poem, sharing a recipe or a gardending tip. The magazine can be read on the website.

TALKS AT THE CONVENT – see the poster – beginning 26th November.

WORD OF THE YEAR – ‘Selfie’ – a photograph taken of oneself and uploaded to a social media website.

RAZZMATAZZ – AND ALL THAT JAZZ – is on its way – ST JOSEPH’S CHRISTMAS FAIR – on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December after the Masses – chocolate, bottles, raffle prizes, would be appreciated.

NEW BISHOP OF MANCHESTER – Bishop David Walker will be at St George’s on Sunday at 8am to attend Eucharist – he was enthroned Saturday.
