MANY THANKS – to all who braved the freezing temperature and biting wind on Friday for the procession. Many parishioners mentioned that they had never known it to be so cold on a Whit Friday. We did manage to escape the showers and thank God that the everything passed off safely. Our gratitude to those who carried the banners and statues, to the stewards, and to the ladies who decorated the statues so beautifully. The Mossley Band played cheerfully and enthusiastically – though disappointed not to hear ‘ I’ll take you home again Kathleen.’!
HEALTH AND SAFETY – two fuse boxes have been replaced in the church to bring them up to safety standards
BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND HALF TERM – hope that parishioners can put their feet up this weekend. We received some leaflets advertising ‘Picnic in the Park’ on Monday 11am till 3.30pm. Also received a leaflet advertising ‘Cinderella’ at Mossley in December.
TAKE YOUR PICK – will there be seasons in heaven? Perhaps if we have a predilection for snow we might be assigned to a heavenly Siberia – 50 below!
