THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, at 10am

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fridays at 9-10am

CONFESSIONS – Saturday at 10.30am and 6.10pm

ASH WEDNESDAY – we are asked to fast and abstain from meat if health, age and employment allow it. The simplest way is: have breakfast, skip lunch and snacking, and then enjoy a hearty meal in the evening.

PARISH CAFOD PROMOTER – the deanery Cafod Committee is looking for a parish representative to help them promote the work of Cafod.

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME – the children are attending Mass today, focussing on the living word of God.

PARISH LUNCH – this Tuesday after 12 noon Mass. Will it be pancakes or apple strudel or cheese and biscuits?! All welcome. List in the porch.

THE LION KING – next Tuesday (19th February). The coach will leave church for the Palace Theatre at 6.30pm

SOCIETY FO THE PROTECTION OF UNBORN CHILDREN – there is a retiring collection for this cause after Mass today. Mr Hugh Fitzpatrick will draw our attention to it at the end of Mass.

OFFERTORY ENVELOPES -in porch.

WOMEN’S DAY OF PRAYER – 1st March at 1.30pm at St Joseph’s.

UNWANTED CHRISTMAS PRESENTS – to go into the raffle for the Mayor’s Charity Appeal can be left in the porch. See Dean Aylett for information about the Civic Dinner and Dance.

FINGERS CROSSED – will get started on the Meeting Room next month.

LENTEN PROGRAMME – will announce it next week

ST GEORGE’S LENTEN COURSE – Fr Lindsay invites parishioners to attend the Lenten Course at St George’s. Five Monday evenings 7.30-9pm with Ann in the Church Room on the topic of Sabbath. See poster in porch.

LENTEN BOOKLETS – are in the porch. Do take one. No charge

MARDI GRAS – is nigh! We are allowed to be indulgent this weekend as we clear the decks for Lent- aware that for some, Lent is never ending. Please God we will do our best.
