THE LION KING – theatre outing in February, 2013, for this award winning musical. There is a list in the porch – we will need to book soon- very popular.

WILLOW WOOD HOSPICE – Margaret Buckley is taking part in the Midnight Walk for the Hospice. There is a list in the porch for sponsors.

HOBGOBLINS – were in evidence on the afternoon of the barbecue! We had to move inside; after all, the upper crust of Mossley were present in Jubilee attire. However, the sausage sizzled outside- a parishioner had very kindly lent us a gazebo, which was really posh, and this kept the rain of the victuals. So, a good time was had by all in spite of the wind and the rain and the chill.

PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE PROCESSION – can be found on the website.

COFFEE MORNING – in aid of the Macmillan Nurses will be held in the meeting room on Saturday 30th June, 11- 1pm.

GUIDED TOUR OF MOSSLEY – a parishioner has drawn our attention to this tour, arranged by the Mossley Civic Society, on Saturday 8th September, leaving the Market Place at 10.30am, with an expert guide. No booking needed. More information from Win Ashmore, 832137. There will also be a tour of Mossley Hall (the old Town Hall) – need to book for this.

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL – let’s hope the sun shines on the second week of the school holidays. The Machester Parade takes place today; it seems to attract a lot of visitors. We might just say a little prayer for the success of the Eucharistic Congress in Dublin this week. The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart whose Feast Day is on Friday. The library is filling up in the porch. Do feel free to take a book home

THE SCOURGE OF MISPRINTS – a local paper reporting the farewell service of a local Pentecostal minister wrote’ that at the end of the service a large crow remained in church singing, Abide with me.’!
