TRIMMING OUR SAILS – the cool weather has no doubt meant an adjustment in our leisure activities- eg, no sunbathing! The winds – no doubt from Siberia – have kept people indoors, that is, apart from the hardy annuals who relish the intemperate conditions. When summer does arrive it will be a real epiphany and it will be like being in heaven, well, sort of.

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS BELL – 50th Eucharistic Congress takes place in Dublin in June. There is a Deanery Prayer Vigil at Ss Aidan and Oswald on Thursday 24th May, at 7pm followed by refreshments.(the bell will be present)!

A NICE THOUGHT – DOSTOEVSKY – ‘Love all God’s creation, the whole of it and every grain of sand in it. Love every leaf, every ray of God’s light. Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things.’
